Welcome to MJ Beach Inn. Located on beautiful Orcas Island, we offer sixteen rustic, secluded cottages on a pristine sand-and-pebble beach. Our cottages come in a variety of sizes and configurations. Looking for quiet solitude or a unique romantic retreat? Try one of our cozy studio cottages. Need room for a family outing or group of friends? Try out one of our two- or three-bedroom cottages, which sleep up to seven guests. And, if you want to bring your pet along, no problem. All our units are pet friendly!

Our Cottages
All our cottages are fully equipped for housekeeping, with basic kitchen appliances (fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker), kitchenware, and linens. Books, puzzles, games and firewood are provided too – all the basics for a relaxing and restoring "unplugged" getaway.
The Lodge - Event Venue
This distinctive building, designed in the style of an 1800's Scottish hunting lodge, features an 800 sq. ft. "great room" with a large furnished kitchen. It was built in 1932, along with a number of beach cottages, as a dining hall, serving three meals a day for the resort's guests until the 1970's. It has also functioned as home to more than three generations of the Gibson and Seagrave family. Remaining substantially unchanged today, it maintains its period charm with its generous fireplace, vaulted beamed ceiling, deep bay windows, and gracious front porch overlooking our beautiful sand and gravel beach just steps away. These features, along with a dozen beachfront rental cottages, make it an ideal venue for conferences, seminars, and retreats of up to 50 adults.
Explore Orcas Island
MJ Travel Beach Inn on Orcas Island is located just a couple of miles from the village of Eastsound (the island's main commercial center) where you will find a relatively large, well-stocked grocery store, a number of restaurants, coffee shops, and unique artisan shops. There is also a liquor store and a movie theater. From Eastsound it's only about a 20 minute drive west to the ferry landing or east to Moran State Park.

We had a delightful three night stay at your cabins right by the beach. We saw an otter, seals and lots of ducks just looking out the window during breakfast. As your site makes clear, there is no wifi or TV, but the rustic swtting is just what we wanted.

Had a wonderful time here! The office was nothing but helpful and kind. The beach is beautiful and clean. The house (#14) was clean and beautiful as well with a wonderful view over the coast by the fire pit.

My husband and I went with our whippets in 2018 and had planned another trip in 2020. Covid sidelined those plans. We are again scheduled for later this year 2023. I'm so excited and cannot wait. It is such a peaceful place. No TV, No Phones. So close to the beach. Just so relaxing. The staff is so friendly.
